
León, Gto., May 16, 2016.- Students from the Culture and Art degree from the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León, seek to establish a common space for cultural activities so they can link with other institutions and organizations.
The group constituted by five students presented the project "Cultural Network of Independent Cultural Spaces of León (RECI for its acronym in Spanish), one of a kind in a national level, and one of the objectives is to increase the options in culture for the city of León.
This university project seeks to generate work for the future cultural negotiators and include professionals such as marketers and communication expert.
The students who lead this project are: Vanessa Caicedos, in the Coordination of Attention to independent cultural spaces; Fernando Franco, Coordinator of liaison and diffusion; Sandra Balderas, Responsible of the legal area; Tatiana Quintero in the Coordination of editing and production; Fátima Sánchez in Coordination of Marketing and Edgar Zayas as general coordinator.
In an interview, Edgar Zayas, network's general coordinator, commented that they pretend to give a social benefit with the inclusion of other insitutions, "and if it is possible that in 2016 we do something very similar with the Trans-Iberia network of Portugal-Spain."
Furthermore, a graduate student from Marketing from the "Universidad De la Salle Bajío" and a young who is studying the same degree in the "Tecnológico de Monterrey" join the project.
The network is formed by 12 independent spaces, theater, movie, literature forums from which stand out: KODA gallery, theater forum Luna Negra, El Cortejo Arte, Cultura y Movimiento, Cocuyo gallery, Kino Room, Generarte Espacio, El Golem, Luciérnada azul, la nueva Casa Azul, among others.
The work dynamic is through reunions to generate shared actions. Other Higher-education institutions join the project, and they have received support from the Cultural Institute of Leon to diffuse the labor of this network.
To finalize, Edgar Zayas, shared the difficulty to which the cultural negotiators have faced: "A world where there are no resources, where you have to negotiate them, where the only resource is the human resource and the creative capability" he concluded.
