Guanajuato, Gto., May 16, 2016.- To all the moviegoer community in the state of Guanajuato, the Movie Club from the University of Guanajuato (UG) offers the possibility to know and access different views of the world with the 60 International Film Festival from May 17 to 28.

In an interview, Movie Club's coordinator, Lic. Montserrat Alejandri Oyanguren invites all the community to start in films and take advantage of the diverse schemes of comprehensive formation offered by UG, and highlights that this year's selection has the intention to converge cinematography from all latitudes.

The sample will begin with the screening of the most recent movie from the Mexican director with greatest participation during this 60 years of the show, Arturo Ripstein "La Calle de la Amargura", in which he portrays an actual Mexico, based in the accidental murder of two midget wrestlers.

During the 12 days of the projections, there will also be the projection of the film "Taxi Teherán" of Jafar Panahi, known for Iran's government prohibition to make movies, because it touches topics of freedom of expression, and through this film, he puts together a social-political mosaic of his country.

Likewise, there will be the projection of the movie "Desde Allá", the opera prima of Lorenzo Vigas and winner of the Golden Lion in the Venice International Film Festival 2015, in which the topic reflects the social stigmas before homosexuality in Latin America.

Director Ken Jones proposes to re-evaluate the validity of one of the most influential directors of history: Alfred Hitchcock in his movie "Hitchcock/Truffaut", which is the chosen one to close the sixtieth International Film Festival.

The entrance cost for the audience is $30.00 MXN and $20.00 MXN for the university community and INAPAM. There are also personal coupons to attend this festival, which includes the entrance for 7 projections of the sample, with a cost of $140.00 MXN for the audience and $90.00 MXN for the university community.

It is worth mentioning, that the projections in the Auditorium Euquerio Guerrero from UG and all the movies will be in 3 functions starting at 17:00 hrs.
