Guanajuato, Guanajuato, May 17, 2016.- Within the framework of the Program Promotion of Reading "Pasando Corriente. Charlas sobre Literatura", began the third cycle of literary talks 2016, in which the University of Guanajuato (UG), the French Alliance and the Mexican Cultural Centre (MCC) participate.

In such cycle, scholars from the Department of Spanish Letters and MCC participate, in the first non-profit virtual encounter registered in the UK, which promotes and diffuses the Mexican culture in collaboration with academic, cultural and artistic projects.

"Pasando Corriente", proposes to promote the liaison between academy and society through talks that, through an accessible and kind language, seek to diffuse the work of authors which are fundamental in all times, written in Spanish, English, French or German.

In that order, the French Alliance of Guanajuato receives the colleges students that "pasarán corriente" on the work of the Mexicans Juan Rulfo, Inés Arredondo, Guadalupe Dueñas, the Cuban Fina García Marruz, the Peruvians Enrique Congrains Martín and Julio Ramón Ribeyro; furthermore, they will read the work from several poets from all times.

In this cycle, Dr. Andreas Kurz and Dr. Ramón Bárcenas Deanda already had a dissertation on some philosophical implication on the work of Juan Rulfo; while next Thursday May 12th, Dr. Inés Ferrero Cándenas and M. Gabriela Trejo Valencia, will speak about the topic "(Re)creaciones perversas: Inés Arredondo and Guadalupe Dueñas."

For Thursday May 19th, M. Eugenio Mancera Rodríguez, who has been a scholarship holder from the "Instituto de Cultura del Estado de Guanajuato" in the modality "Creators with trajectory in the genre of poetry", will read texts from his most representative books, among them "Cuerpo en su sabor de labios" (1994), "Luz del huerto" (1997), "Diálogo de amor entre Eurídice y Orfeo" (1997), "La pacificación de la bahía" (2000), "Saudade" (2001), "La memoria del deseo" (2003), "Sol de los olivos" (2005), "Las uvas y el mar" (2013) and, in 2008 he published a story book: "La agonía de la primavera".

"La palabra del mudo: Ribeyro y Congrains", is the topic of the following talk to be developed by Dr. Rolando Álvarez Barrón; for Thursday June 2nd, Dr. Lilia Solorzano Esqueda and M. Asunción del Carmen Rangel López, will talk about the poems of the Cuban poet Fina García Marruz and some moments of her essays.

All the talks will be in the facilities of the French Alliance of Guanajuato in the classroom "Dr. Paul Gendrop", street Galarza, downtown.
