Guanajuato, Gto., May 17, 2016.- With the objective to reinforce the academic collaboration between the University of Guanajuato (UG) and Texas A&M University, students from the latter institution, visited the facilities of the Maximum House of Studies.
Representing the university community, UG's General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, welcomed the students and mentioned that these inter institutional academic experiences were very enriching for the comprehensive formation within the student community.
The 14 students who visited UG came from the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences and the College of Engineering from Texas A&M University. During their visit, they went through the facilities of the Division of Engineering from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, as well as the laboratories of Agronomy, Environmental Sciences and Mechanical Agricultural Engineering from the Division of Life Sciences from the same campus.
The professor of the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Texas A&M University, Dr. Alex Thomasson thanked UG publicly for the hospitality they have always received and the great friendships formed during the process.
The professor from the Department of Mechanical Engineering from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca from UG and member of Pi Tau Sigma, Dr. Abel Hernández Guerrero recognized this program gives great opportunities for the students to live experiences abroad and develop comprehensively.
At the end of their visit, the students from Texas A&M University will participate on a panel where they will have the opportunity to share their perceptions and experiences during their visit to the University of Guanajuato and the state of Guanajuato.
