The program considers the normative reform, review and update of the Institutional Development Plan, update of the Educative Model as well as the efficiency of the administrative support.
Guanajuato, Gto., May 18, 2016.- With the finality of strengthening the instruments which provide ground and path to fundamental actions from the University of Guanajuato (UG), this day began the Institutonal Program "Actuar UG" which considers the review, update, and harmonization of three substantial aspects of UG: normative reform; review and update of the Institutional Development Plan 2010-2020; and update of the educative model. All that optimizing the administrative support.
In work tables formed by the executive authorities from the house of studies, they recognized that since the change of the organizational structure in 2008, the University has reigned with diverse norms from before the re-structuration or that were minimally adjusted.
This situation has caused the lack of alignment between the norms and the set of norms before an institutional reality, situation which the reform process began. This process will last a year and a half, and it will spawn a pertinent and condensed normative body.
To what the Institutional Development Plan (PLADI) 2010-2020 refers to, the university authorities reminded that derived from the Agreement CGU2013-E4 dated May 1st 2013, the University General Council determined the adjustment of goals in 2016.
Therefore, the process implies the consultation to the university community with the purpose to generate a document which reflects the projected goals by who will be responsible to fulfill the proposed indicators.
Essential part of the Comprehensive Reform will be to harmonize the Educative Model since it answers to the need to have a unique reference framework which articulates the actions of the institution towards the same purpose: the comprehensive formation of the student.
The review of PLADI and the harmonization of the educative model should conclude in June this year.
Likewise, with the finality to optimize the institution's functioning, the processes must be adapted to achieve an efficient administration as an institutional support to the academic doing.
These aspects highlight two areas: deconcentration, systematization and improvement of the procedures, as well as the system of university management and information; which will be subject to a constant and permanent review.
With these work methodology, the University of Guanajuato acts inclusively and participative aiming for a Comprehensive Reform, which will positively impact the axis that support the development of the institution.
