San Miguel de Allende, Gto., May 19, 2016. As an initiative of the State Commission for Planning of the Higher Education (COEPES) Guanajuato, there was the talk "Inclusión laboral a través de la acción universitaria," taught by Dr. Dolores Álvarez Orozco.

This conference is part of the inter-university classes in Social Responsibility, in charge of COEPES, organism who integrates more than 40 public and private institutions –among them the University of Guanajuato—which have the purpose to strengthen the Higher Education System.

In her talk, Dr. Álvarez Orozco, Director of the degree in Administration and Management of PyMES from the "Universidad Politécnica de Guanajuato," presented through numerous examples the different faces the employment discrimination acquires in our society.

She explained that discrimination consists in all distinction, exclusion or treat preference that, occurred with motive or occasion of a labor relationship, bases in the criteria of race, age, sex, religion, ideology or any other considered irrational or justified and that has as an effect to alter of null the equality of treatment or opportunity in employment.

Equally, Dr. Dolores spoke to the university youth about the legal framework, and the work of institutions such as the "Comisión Nacional para la Prevención de la Discriminación" (CONAPRED), rector institutions in Mexico to promote policies and trending measures to contribute to the cultural and social development and progress in the social inclusion and guarantee the right of equality.

At the end, the speaker received a recognition from the authorities of the "Universidad Tecnológica de San Miguel de Allende", host institution of the event.
