Irapuato, Gto., May 19, 2016.- Participating in the program "Leo, Luego Existo" from the "Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA)", the actor Abraham Ramos read aloud part of the work "Tlapalería" from the narrator and essayist Elena Poniatowska.

"Through reading we can discover our gifts. Reading helps us to have an authentic taste, create new interests and develop creativity," commented the histrion to students and professors of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca from the University of Guanajuato.

During the presentation, the movie and TV actor chose the chapters "Las Pachecas" and "Corazón de Alcachofa", that treat current situations of the habitants in Mexico City.

"Las Pachecas" narrates the story of Luisa, a young addict who survived as a windshield cleaner and lived in a lot, until she hit rock bottom and ended up reclusive in "a farm" or shelter where she stayed nine months in rehabilitation, futile wait for her family to come get her out.

With his youth tone, the histrion took the audience from sadness to joy, while the story of Luisa unveiled and the abandon of her mother Socorro, who took her to the limit of addictions. Then, he propitiated the reflection in the students on the importance of family and the consequences of the lack of a father or mother figure, which allows children and youth to find a sense in life.

"Corazón de Alcachofa" is about a Mexican family whose parents announce their divorce while seating on the table eating artichokes, a dish influenced by grandma, who takes things very seriously and food is not the exception. Grandma makes a ritual of the tasting of those "little prehistoric beings dressed with leaves and the green heart", that every week she prepares with mousseline sauce and vinaigrette.

The university community congratulated Abraham Ramos, who is identified above all, for his work in diverse series and soap operas.
