Guanajuato, Gto., May 20, 2016.- For the composer Edgar Barroso, music is thought, it does not limit to the traditional musical know-how, but has worked as an indispensable tool in his life, since it stimulates his creativity and encourages him every day to make transdisciplinary projects in areas of technology, art and social responsibility.

Edgar Barroso is an outstanding graduate from the Department of Music from the University of Guanajuato (UG), his career in the music composing ambience has fused with entrepreneurship and transdisciplinary thought so he has developed the construction of several "startups"; the design and operation of laboratories of innovation; and the diffusion of mechanisms of transdisciplinary collaboration.

After his time through the University of Guanajuato, he studied a doctorate in Musical Composing in Harvard University, place where besides music, he learned to fuse his artistic knowledge with the execution of social projects of technological innovation, some of them aimed for children and youth in vulnerable situations, from there, his interest turned towards public entrepreneurism.

From his childhood until today, music has branded several stages in his life, That was how he decided to enter the University of Guanajuato to make his formal studies in composition, "I knew that UG has excellent teachers, when I studied were the professors, M. José Luis Castillo y Héctor Quintanar, outstanding musicians who inspired me to continue working in seeking my voice as a composer. Equally, my time in the university was a time to know myself, it was an enclosure of knowledge, a place for reflection, a place where invaluable friendships created and a space that changed my life, and I'm very grateful for that."

Afterwards, when doing the doctorate studies in Harvard and observing the development of his country from a different perspective, he realized that the transdisciplinary thought and creativity, could be a very powerful tool to achieve a desired social transformation by many engaged citizens, that is the reason why, he used the creative capabilities music composing gave him to create programs for social promotion.

Convinced that music works to bring people together, he expressed "when I realized the force and collaborative capacity music has taught me, I started to get involved in innovation projects through communities of social and public entrepreneurism. What has worked for me here is the musical-collective thought to make people able to create more opportunities in life, that is a very huge satisfaction for me."

As an example of the application of musical thought in such projects, he mentioned: "for me, there is no difference between designing a social program, a laboratory of innovation or compose a music sheet. I'm trained to create organized experiences in time, it is very natural thanks to composing, a music sheet is an algorithm in time, it has a structure, a form to begin, develop and evolve. Of course, there are different factors, variables and results, but I believe that the base, the thought a musical play and a social project construct to support entrepreneurs has a lot in common."

Edgar Barroso, is director of the "Laboratory of Entrepreneurism and Transformation" from the "Escuela de Gobierno del Tecnológico de Monterrey", an experimentation spaces where together with a work team, has made distinct programs such as "Mecate", "La Sociedad de Emprendedores Publicos", "Futuro" and "El Agora" of LET, all of them designed to encourage public entrepreneurism projects with a significant impact on life of a large number of people.

Besides, Barroso has a program called "Manos al Sonido", which will elaborate in collaboration with the "Centro Mexicano de la Música y las Artes Sonoras" in Morelia: "we go to the children so they can learn sound techniques for movies. We play them films, they chose the scenes they like the most and then we teach them all the technique of edition, video and audio. At the end, they are interested, they like it and they can join occupation that involve musical technology. That is how we want to inspire technological callings and that in a future don't stay only in works destined to disappear or have a minimal remuneration."

"We are also about to launch "Código para Todos", an itinerating school of programming and "Antena Lab" a space to develop the career of emergent programmers, an entrepreneur project enabler that needs programmers to develop its projects. It's going to be a year with a lot of work."

Currently, Edgar Barroso resides in Switzerland, place that has adopted as his creative space, in which he dedicates to compose, study and design the projects that then he comes to implement in Mexico. Actually, he is a member of the "Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte en México". It is important to mention that his works continue to be interpreted in important forums in North America, Iberoamerica, Asia and Europe.
