
León, Gto., May 20, 2016.- Within activities of the First Week of Psychology, at the University of Guanajuato (UG) they make a series of academic activities that have the purpose to recognize the labor of the psychologists, and debate about the challenges they face in the labor ambiance.
May 20th, Day of the Psychologist, in the venue San Carlos from Campus León, there was a panel named "Our future, the Psychology at UG in the year 2030", as well as a conference title "Environmental Psychology".
Activities close with the workshops of "Evaluation of the aging process in the Mexican elder," in the auditorium of the venue Jerez (ex-faculty of Psychology).
Previously, on Thursday 19th, there was the panel "The Psychological profile before the actual needs," led by Eréndira Romero Paredes and Rodrigo Fuentes Casillas, graduate psychologists from the University of Guanajuato that perform in the area of Human Resources.
In the panel exposed that the labor market demands highly competitive psychologists, capable to establish strategies and implement techniques that benefit the worker and the company seeking a parallel growth; besides being an important part to attract talent, retain it and develop the competencies.
They also highlighted the reach and limit the psychologists have and the growth they must have to take decisions. They described some scenarios recent graduate faces and made recommendations to the professionals in this area, who were invited to continue preparing with a postgraduate, as well as to exploit in labor different areas and avoid a comfort zone.
Currently, the Department of Psychology from Campus León has 336 students enrolled, from the last semester January-June 2016 in a degree level. Until this year, there are 46 graduate generations and 16 full-time professors, who contribute research with social impact.
In the University of Guanajuato, the degree in Psychology has a great tradition for their competitiveness and commitment with its graduates.
