Puebla, Pue., May 23, 2016.- The researcher and professor from the Faculty of Physicist-Mathematician from the "Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla" (BUAP), Dr. Arturo Fernández Téllez, highlighted the participation of the University of Guanajuato (UG) in the development of physics in high energy.

He recognized the genuine activity from the Maximum House of Studies of Guanajuato in Physics and said that the President of the Division of Particles and Fields of the Mexican Society of Physics (DPyC-SMF for its acronym in Spanish), Dr. Mauro Napsuciale Mendivil, professor and researcher from the Department of Physics from UG, is a clear example of transcendence in this area.

On his part, Dr. Napsuciale Mendivil told that history in this discipline in the University of Guanajuato goes back to 1986, year where the Institute of Physics was founded.

He indicated that in these years, the Institute was projected as the first Center of Experimental Physics of High energy in Latin America, from then goes back the leadership at UG, thanks to all the academic community who is part of this project.

This initiative was the first in its kind to make experiments in this branch of science, since in that moment, there was only the theoretical physics; and it was in 1992 when the other areas incorporated.

Dr. Mauro Napsuciale pointed out that seven years ago this project was born in Guanajuato and has positioned in all the country. In addition, key characters, among them, the now Academic Secretary of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. José Luis Lucio Martínez, incorporated.

Physics, he pointed, has a fundamental role in the progress of science because everything bases in instrumentation that develops in the technological progresses that are led by this science.

For Dr. Napsuciale Mendivil many of the needs of the environment are satisfied by the laboratories where they are in charge of finding answers to things that are mostly intangible.

Instruments are designed with scientific purposes, such as the detection of cancer particles, from there the relevance of the participation of postgraduate students and young researchers.
