
Guanajuato, Gto., May 25, 2016.- For an intense week, the institutional academic contests were made, in which 720 students from ten high schools and HS Moroleón of the University of Guanajuato participated.
Being hosted in the Centro Histórico León, the Social Science Contest had the following results: first place was for Roberto Pons Manríquez, from HS San Luis de la Paz, second place for Luis Andrés Rojas García, from HS San Luis de la Paz and the third place for Marco Antonio Fuentes Cervantes, HS León.
The Spanish contest was held in HS Salamanca, where the first place was for Daniel Ventura Guerrero from HS Pénjamo, the second place for Leslie Daniela Ángel Guerrero from HS Centro Histórico León and third place for Arturo Tadeo Guevara Lezama, from HS Salvatierra.
In reference of the Biology Contest that developed in HS Silao, the first place was for Alejandra Sánchez Paniagua from HS Pénjamo, the second place for Christian Gerardo Jasso Salinas from HS Centro Histórico León, and third place was for David Francisco Cruces González from HS Guanajuato.
Finally, to conclude the first stage of the academic contests was the Physics one, in which the students solved an exam with 30 answers, and the winners were, in first place Christian Chacón Valdez from HS Pénjamo venue Moroleón, in second place Gabriel Ian Díaz Alemón from HS Pénjamo and third place Ixben Moisés Sanchez Segoviano from HS León.
In this edition, there was the sample of Experimental Physics, where eight schools participated. It consisted in showing an experiment applying the acquired knowledge in Physics I and II.
It is important to mention that the contests are made every semester in different areas of knowledge, and the tests are made by professors in the Superior level of UG from each corresponding division.
Q.F.B. Martha Oliva Gallaga Ortega, Director of the High School College, commented that these type of contests, besides measuring the academic level, they promote the coexistence among students. Hence, she congratulated the professors and students who participated in this edition.
For the following semester they'll make the contests of Chemistry, TICs and Mathematics.
