
Guanajuato, Gto., May 25, 2016. In the Magnus Spaces of Campus Guanajuato was carried out the opening ceremony of the "Public Accounting Journeys 2016" with a triple celebration motive: the 57th anniversary of the program of Pubic Accounting within the University of Guanajuato (UG), the celebration of the Day of the CPA, which in Mexico is celebrated on May 25th, and the official presentation of the Student's Association of Public Accountants of the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences (DCEA).
Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, in the opening message emphasized the importance of the accounting activities have had in the development of societies in distinct periods of history, as in Renaissance, whose commercial boom was adequate field for the rise of works such as the "Summa de Arithmetica", from the Venetian Francisco di Luca Paciolo; in his book describes for the first time the system that we now know for other technological disciplines.
Besides, Dr. Corona recognized the trajectory of one the degrees with more tradition at the University of Guanajuato, near completing six decades of work in forming professionals. He said that the effort and discipline has allowed the degree in Public Accounting to consolidate as one of the most successful programs in all UG, which is reason for pride and jubilee.
On her part, Dr. Claudia Susana Gómez López, director of DCEA, after welcoming and thanking the attendance of students and professors to the activires of the Journeys, recognized the trajectory of generation of accountants in the state and highlighted the transcendence it is for DCEA the official presentation of the first organized group of public accountants from UG.
At the presidium were present, CPA Indra Romo Zavala, Coordinator of the degree in Public Accountant; M. Hilda Marisa Venegas Barboza, godmother of the Students Association of Public Accountants from DCEA; and the student Rafael García León, president of the same association.
The "Public Accounting Journeys 2016" began with the Master conference of the CPA Carmen Karina Tapia, from the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants.
