Guanajuato, Gto., a 28 de mayo de 2016.- Students from the Division of Engineering (DI) from Campus Guanajuato, obtained the second place in the medal board that considers the academic, sport and cultural part of the Magnus Event of the National Association of Students of Engineering (ANEIC): the XXXII OlimpiANEIC, hosted in Colima for its 2016 version.

Therefore, the Director of the Division of Engineering (DI) from Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Enrique Mendoza Puga, presided a recognition ceremony to the winners at OlimpiANEIC, to whom he reaffirmed the institutional support so they continue participating in these national encounters and rise the name of the University of Guanajuato.

Dr. Mendoza Puga referred that the obtained result by the delegation of Campus Guanajuato is an achievement for the students, the Division and the University, and representing UG in a national level, is a great honor that at the same time implies a high grade of responsibility.

In this sense, DI's Director recognized the labor of the trainers and said to continue giving support for the students, since there is a lot of competitiveness in this pageant due the increase of Universities.

In his time, the Director of the Department of Civil Engineering, Eng. Francisco Huerta Castillo, commented that competing is a physical and intellectual trial, which gives the opportunity to potentiate the capacities of the students.

In the ceremony held past May 26th in the Auditorium "Salvador Yañez" from venue Belén, was also present the Delegate of ANEIC, Carlos Gerardo Lomas Arvizu.
