León, Gto., May 28, 2016.- The collaboration activities between the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León and the Cultural Forum Guanajuato began. Through the dialogue between artistic disciplines within elements that allow the public to approach the manifestations of contemporary art, one of the commitments of the cultural negotiators of the Maximum House of Studies.
Activities began with the reading of the work "Misa fronteriza" of Luis Humberto Crosthwaite, led by Dr. Tarik Torres Mojica, professor-researcher at the Department of Cultural Studies; in such monologue, before a nurtured audience, he read aloud the metaphorical speech of topics as migration and measurement of frontiers.
Likewise, it was the scenario to reaffirm the commitment of social development of Campus Leon, its impact in the labors of extension and divulgation of knowledge in the areas of arts and human studies, the development of research lines and the improvement in the professional formation of students and graduates.
At the same time, there was the round table "Misa fronteriza: creación, interpretación y cocreación" in which Dr. Vanessa Freitag and Dr. Tarik Torres Mojiica from UG's Campus León and members of the academic body of Culture and Art participated. Dr. Francisco Javier González Compeán from Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Reynaldo Thompson López from Campus Irapuato-Salamanca and Israel Alejandro López García from NomandLab.
With the project "Misa fronteriza" they pretend to cover social problems through art, and make an approach to the processes of creation and co-creation in the context of visual culture.
The agreement between two institutions will be signed shortly.
