
Celaya, Gto., May 27, 2016. With motive of the "Day of the accountant", students and professors organized the conference "El poder de los números" (The power of numbers), given by the CPA Cristal Rojas, administrator of the Azteca Stadium, talk where the celebrations of the Student's week in Campus Celaya-Salvatierra from the University of Guanajuato (UG), concluded.
Throughout the talk, CPA Rojas, explained that she is part of the Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos (IMCP) and one the labors is to take the conference to different educative institutions with the purpose to make the students reflect in that mathematics are part of the everyday life, and being an accountant is more than handling healthy finances, it implies good planning and continuous improvement.
She highlighted some cases of Mexican Public Accountants such is the case of Lorenzo Servitje (Bimbo), Carlos Kasuga (Yakult), María Asunción Aramburuzabala (Grupo Modelo), who have managed to rise the name of the profession.
The speaker invited all UG students to remember that the numbers are the language of countries, business and the world and invited them to dominate them to be in indispensable.
She also sustained that the public accountant today is not who calculates taxes that clicks on a computer, but his role is to analyze and assess to make business grow, without neglecting ethics, since they handle important information in the company.
To conclude with the celebrations, there was the last pass of attendance for the students in the ninth semester in the Public Accountant degree, where authorities and professors congratulated and wished good luck in their work life, in addition, the special guests gave them samples of support and recognition for all the years of study.
Among the guests were the first graduate of the CPA degree, Carlos Martínez Inda, Sr. Argimiro González Pérez & José Buenaventura Hernández.
The conference "The power of numbers" had as main organizers, Prof. Carlos Zuñiga, who also is President of the School of Public Accountants of Celaya.
