
San Luis de la Paz, Gto., May 30, 2016- The student Rosa Isela Covarrubias Zárate, from High School San Luis de la Paz, was nominated to be part of the Central American and Caribbean Juvenile Orchestra (OJCA).
Rosa Isela has participated in two cultural encounters from the High School College, juvenile orchestras in the state, region, national and now international levels; and will participate in the Tour OJCA Mexico-Germany in its tour 2016-2017 to represent our country and the University of Guanajuato (UG).
The orchestra is composed of more than 10 countries, among them Germany, Costa Rica, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Mexico, among others. During September, the 139 nominees will gather to participate in a camp to begin rehearsing and start the tour.
Before a thousand participants from all over the country who made auditions in early March, Rosa Isela had the approval to be part of this orchestra, which represents a big accomplishment in her career, since music is her passion, mainly violin, instrument that she plays.
Rosa Isela began at the age of 12 to play the violin, and in few years she was part of the Symphonic Orchestra "Esperanza Azteca" from the city of Dolores Hidalgo, among her accomplishments, stand out being part of the selection musicians of the country and accompany violoncellists with international prestige as Yo-Yo Ma and the Mexican Carlos Prieto.
This new challenge is very important in her career, since fulfilling the obligations of the school and music implies to organize the time and effort in the maximum to deliver. Motivated by the nomination, she wishes to have a good role and rise the state of Guanajuato and UG. Hence, she assured: "the key of success is dedication, love and effort to what you do."
She also thanked the support of her family, orchestra professors and authorities from the University of Guanajuato, who have been an important motor in her trajectory.
