Celaya, Gto., May 31, 2016.- With the objective to strengthen the knowledge for its application in the clinical practice of timely care, students from the University of Guanajuato (UG), received the workshop "neonatal resuscitation."

Next summer, the students from the degree in Nursing and Midwifery from the Division of Health Sciences and Engineering (DCSI) of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra will offer their practice in the hospital and should know the care of clinical emergencies.

The workshop facilitator, L.E.O. Enrique Jiménez, professor of the latter division, explained that this practice provides and introduction to the intervention program for neonatal resuscitation, from the first steps as evaluation, instruments, devices and physiology of babies, until the topic of possible complications.

Anahí Valdés, students of the fourth semester of the degree in Nursing and Midwifery from DCSI mentions that the workshop is very important since "there are a lot of us who are interested in knowing about pediatric nursing. I learn about the topic of neonatal reanimation, especially to know the evaluation and apply it, since it is a difficult topic. We are close to the practice and with this we reaffirm what we learn through the semester, the workshop compliments our formation in the subject of medical emergencies."

Lic. Jiménez assured that the students will have the opportunity to conjugate the theory and practice. "it is a pride for us knowing that our students are accepted in the hospital due to their preparation and capability to react in emergencies" he concluded.
