Guanajuato, Gto., June 2, 2016. With the objective to strengthen the institutional unit through a coordinated work and common criteria of actions based in the university normativity, the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, led the reunion with academic secretaries to install the support instance, which based in the art. 45 of the Organic Law of the University of Guanajuato, will be coordinated by the Pro Vost.

"This meeting represents a great opportunity to settle an institutional pending and to give its just dimension to what since today must begin as a university practice", said Dr. Guerrero Agripino, who sustained that in great measure the success of an educative entity depends on the work done from the academic secretaries.

This support instance will allow to strengthen the communication between the General Secretary of UG and the academic secretaries, to ensure that the strategic information permeates in all the academic entities in a timely manner.

In this first reunion there was a review of the responsibilities of the academic secretaries, especially in the aspects related with collegiate life and the application of university legislation.

Besides, Dr. José Luis Lucio Martínez, UG's Academic Secretary, planted actions to bring life to the Educative Model and concrete the goal that every educative program at UG should watch the elements of this model.

Likewise, information on the functions of the window UGénero was shared with the representatives from the academic secretaries and were given a basic orientation of how to proceed when there is a complaint in their entities.

UG's Pro Vost, Dr. Héctor Efraín Rodríguez de la Rosa, cleared that in these sessions the agenda will always include strategic themes that require deployment and suggested themes by the own academic secretaries.

Lastly, he announced that the reunions of the support instance will rotate in different venues of the University, the next will be on September 14th in the city of León.
