
Guanajuato, Gto., June 2, 2016.- With great success was carried out the play "noche de Recuerdo" in the Teatro Principal from the artistic group "La Cabaretera Escénica", conformed by students in the degree of Scenic Arts of the University of Guanajuato.
This montage worked as degree project for the student with the specialty in Acting, Ivanna Tovar, being a play who tribute the vedettes that, for the student, provided the maximum boom to burlesque show in Mexican cabarets in the 70s.
In "La cabaretera escénica" they interpreted the emblematic characters from the time, as Francis, Lyn May, Princess Yamal and Olga Breeskin, who narrated through musical numbers their stories, lives and events that partially took them to oblivion.
During the play they displayed vibrant vedette clothing, that moved to the rhythm of mambo and percussions, with flashes of light between the knitting of their suits that transported the public to the past, to know what a night of the old cabaret was.
Ivanna Tovar is an actress, model, director and dramaturge of spectacles and cabaret shows with means to support the LGBT community, the feminist movement and defense of the human rights. For Ivanna the respect and scenic work together propitiates the idea of living according with own precepts of the existence and harmony.
The cast of this play was composed by Omar de Vil, as Francis; Ángela González as Princess Yamal; Rebecca Soto as Olga Breeskin; Ivanna Tovar as Lyn May; as well as Carlos Aguirre as the Presenter.
