
Celaya, Gto., June 2, 2016.- Members of the Interinstitutional Committees for the Evaluation of higher Education (CIESS) closed the work done to evaluate the installations and the general program of the degree in Civil Engineering of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, which belongs to the University of Guanajuato.
The evaluators, M. Francisco Barrera Gracia from the Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM), M. Gabriela Aldana Narváez from the Universidad Autónoma de Campeche (UAC) and M. Ernesto Ramírez Cornejo, thanked the support of the university authorities during the tours and facilities to review the educational plan.
The coordinator of the Civil Engineering degree, Eng. Israel Enrique Herrera Díaz commented that the visit was satisfactory and the evaluators worked arduously in their tools and analysis of campus, which developed during the May 30, 31 and June 1 of 2016.
He mentioned that there is no definitive evaluation as such, and the academic peers ask for discretion since they come to make the evaluation in situ "have gathered evidence, interviews with students, professors to corroborate the information that was previously fed, we only have to wait for the dictum and work in the areas they point to improve them."
During the aperture of the work, the Rector of Campus, Dr. Ma. Guadalupe Ojeda Vargas, declared that "these type of processes allows us in the sister universities to evaluate ourselves under this external look with objectivity and clarity, by allowing us to evaluate the program of Civil Engineering of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra to be better."
The evaluator's task, exposed M. Francisco Barrera, is to provide opinion with the idea to point the strengths and areas of opportunity of the degree in Civil Engineering "I want to thank the authorities all the facilities that have given us this task that was carried out and recognize the desire the administrator have because this institution be better every day" he concluded.
