Guanajuato, Gto., June 4, 2016.- With the finality to work in designing solutions to fight poverty, students from the University of Guanajuato (UG) participate in the Hackathon-Campus Party in Centro Fox.

Hackathon is a technology event that encourages innovation in a crucial sector for the development of the country. This event gathers more than 2,000 participants from different profiles and where the students have 36 hours to design and develop a solution against poverty.

With this event, the students from the degree in Administrative Information Systems of the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences (DCEA) from Campus Guanajuato reaffirm their commitment with the environment, by creating comprehensive solutions based on innovation, science and technology. Likewise, it's an opportunity to test the knowledge acquired in University.

The challenge of the participants will be to propose a technological solution to fight this evil that haunts society, using any of the following lines of action: education, nourishment, health, housing, financial inclusion, or job inclusion.

It is important to mention that to develop their idea, they'll have the support of the expert mentors from different businesses and also will be offered spaces to work and infrastructure, technology, gadgets and necessary tutorials.

At the end, a jury composed by several experts will evaluate the development and will consider this criteria: the solution to the proposed problem; functionality and technical viability; the business model; the presentation, among other aspects.
