Guanajuato, Gto., June 3, 2016.- With the objective to strengthen and enrich the projects that are done in the Direction of Student Development of the University of Guanajuato, there was a work meeting with the members of such direction.

At the same time, the event was made to thank the work they made in the organization of diverse events to commemorate the Day of the Student, programming they called "D Day". In the reunion, they carried out some activities that had the main purpose, the integration of all members of the Direction.

Every coordinator who works in Student Development, spoke of their functions in the present, the goals they want to reach and future plans that wish to concrete. Likewise, they revealed activities that are developed in the next semester from August to December 2016.

It is precise to mention that the Direction of Student Development is a space from the University of Guanajuato to the comprehensive performance of the students, that is why it composes from distinct coordination that offer their services to all the university community, such as the: student's encouragement, comprehensive health, scholarships, physical culture and sports, risk and accident prevention, as well as the administrative.

The General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino reminded that 13 years ago, he was Director of Student Development and indicated that the transcendence of such area is very important, because within its functions is to potentiate the activities of the students during their academic life, and even coming out of the institution, since it also focuses on the graduates.

Likewise, Dr. Guerrero Agripino, said that the Direction of Student Development is a key piece for the progress of the students, since it is in charge of the functional areas such as scholarship policies and stimulus, risk situations and vulnerability, sport promotion, comprehensive health, accident insurance, among others.

On her part, the Director of Student Development, M. Osvaldo Chávez Rodríguez, indicated that the main motor of all the people who works in Student Development is to serve the students and will continue strengthening to offer the best for the university community.
