Yuriria, Gto., June 3, 2016.- To enrich the formation of the students from the venue Yuriria of the University of Guanajuato, they celebrate in their fifth edition the Congress of Applied Optics (COA) that gathers experts from Mexico, Colombia and Spain.
The Congress began with the conference "Optic fiber lasers. I+D focused on the needs of the industrial sector" by Dr. Pedro Pérez Millán, researcher and owner of the Spanish company Fyla, responsible for developing lasers with special properties to answer the requirements of the industrial market in Asia, EU, Latin American and Mexico.
With this example of success, the call for the students was to start and innovate in the field of optics which is vast, call that invigorated the Director of Liaison, Dr. Salvador Hernández Castro, by making an opening declaration in representation of the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino. The university director invited the youth to incur in the formation of business based on technology.

Besides researchers, this year, professors of the organizing committee summoned some businesses to show the students the applications of optics in the industry.
During the first day of activities, the congress people listened to Dr. Zacarías Malacara Hernández who participated with the conference "Design and construction of anatomical instrumentation in the Optics Research Center A.C.", followed by Dr. Mauricio Ortíz Gutiérrez, from the "Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo", whose topic was the "Reconstruction of surfaces in 3D with projection of Fringes."
For the University of Guanajuato participated Dr. Edgar Alvarado Méndez from the Division of Engineering of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, who dictated the conference "Detection of biological parameters through optical techniques." Dr. Alejandro Martínez Rios from the Optics Research Center spoke about the "Development of high power lasers and their applications to manufacture", to conclude with the presentation of Dr. Iván Moreno Hernández, from the "Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas" with the topic "Special Optics for LED illumination."
