Irapuato, Gto., June 9, 2016.- The student from the University of Guanajuato, Mariana Sofía Flores Bretón, assumed the commitment of divulging charrería as a national sport, by being crowned as Charra Queen of the Association of University Charros UG.

Mariana I, is a student of Agronomy Engineering at Campus Irapuato-Salamanca. From a very early age, she learned to ride and since she was 18 years old, participates as a federate escaramuza, with the support from his parents Juan Antonio Flores and Hortensia Bretón.

In the orchard of the Ex-Hacienda El Copal and in the rhythm of the march of Zacatecas, arrived the queen-to-be accompanied by the escaramuza "Amazonas del Bajío" from the charro ring Ignacio León Ornelas de Irapuato, to be crowned with the imposition of the sombrero charro, from the Rector of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Dr. Ernesto Camarena Aguilar and by the outgoing queen, María Fernanda I.

The secretary of the union of associations of Charros from the state of Guanajuato, Mr. Martín Becerra, handed her a quarter as a symbol of authority and before the university community, donated an artisanal created silver quarter, which will be under the guard of the Rectory of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca.

As honor guests, attended to the ceremony the deputy of escaramuzas from the Union of Associations of Charros, Diana Sandoval and the local congress woman Irma Leticia González Sánchez, who witnessed along with the guests, the routine of the escaramuzas.

After Mariana danced the traditional "jarabe tapatío", they went on to stage, the members of the folkloric ballet "Cipactli" which means first light, group formed 19 years ago by Ma. Montserrat Flores Munguía in the city of Irapuato and who harmonized the crowning party.
