
León, Gto., June 9, 2016. Due to the great interest of the University of Guanajuato to propitiate the equality of gender, Dr. Ma. Áurea Valerdi González, professor-researcher from the Department of Social Studies of Campus León, founded along with other researchers the "Réseau du Recherche Genre et Terriroires", (ReGenT for its French acronym).
The objective of the network is to exchange experiences about the topics related with every member, seek the realization of joint research and publish results.
This network joins the efforts of other networks about gender in the world, the ReGenT distinguishes because its integration obeys a set of wills from women to contribute to the discussion where they are and from what they are. It was founded as a friendly commitment without an official registry, nor institutional adscription. Among its first tasks is to make two virtual reunions this year and the elaboration of an article for October.
The network is composed by Denyse Coté (Canada), Daniéle Magloire (Haiti), Halime el Kaakour (Lebanon), Liliana Kremer (Argentina), Sophie Louargant (France), Cynthia Mara Miranda (Brazil), Sylvie Paré (Canada) and Ma. Áurea Valerdi G. (Mexico), who is professor-researcher at UG, Ph.D. in Psychology, with research in the work on women and family, as well as in development and wellbeing. Currently makes research about women, work and territory.
