
Guanajuato, Gto., June 10, 2016.- The collective "Puerta a Puerta" (Door to Door), created by students from the first generation of the degree in Scenic Arts from the Division of Architecture, Art and Design (DAAD) from Campus Guanajuato, concluded this Thursday on its best projects: the final stage of the First Dance Contest.
The winners with the piece "Deliberadamente", Job Orlando Díaz Padilla, from the sixth semester, took the first place; Ada Tovar from the eighth semester, the second place and Cynthia Shmulkovsky from the second semester, the third place.
The second place was for the piece "Abril 14" with the interpreters Ángela Vela from eighth semester, who took the first prize in that team, while the second place was for Iván Ramírez; as for in the category of the best interpreter was for Ada Tovar.
For all of them, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato from UG, extended his recognition for the quality of the job of the youth in this artistic discipline, dance, "which is a powerful speech, attractive and full of beauty."
It is worth to mention that the Collective "Puerta a Puerta" was born in June 2015 and it was composed by students from the degree in Scenic Arts in collaboration with the Direction of Cultural Extension; collective responsible to organize the first edition of the "Dance contest" of the degree in Scenic Arts, pageant made through a summon in which the students from the degree in diverse semesters from the specialty of dance, enrolled.
In this Thursday's June 09 presentation in the Teatro Principal, took place the final of the contests in which were presented the finalist choreographies, completely unedited pieces created by young enthusiasts in dance.
The winners were chosen by a special jury, formed by the choreographer Alicia Sánchez, dancer and choreographer, M. Josué Valderrama and the visual artist Cecilia Anguiano.
The members of the jury granted two prizes, with an economic stimulus for the first place, of eight thousand Mexican pesos and two thousand Mexican pesos for the second place, a diploma and a trophy. Likewise, they granted a special prize of two thousand Mexican pesos for the best interpreter that, this time, was Ada Tovar.
it is precise to mention that "Puerta a Puerta" is a collective that makes actions to encourage and promote the art of dance in the university community and also through distinct presentation in society. The student Lorena Maving is the director of the project.
In the formal ceremony to begin the contest, were present Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Sara Julsrud López, Director of Cultural Extension; Dr. Arturo Pérez López, Director of the Department of Music and the student Lorena Alejandra Maving Medel, Coordinator of the Collective "Puerta a Puerta."
