Guanajuato, Gto., June 13, 2016.- Coordinated by Lic. Pedro Josué Miranda Cortés, head of Quality and Environment of Campus Guanajuato, a group of students from the degree of Quality Administration and Productivity of the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences (DCEA) has cleaned the roadsides of the access to the Division.

The main objective is to mitigate the pollution and generate awareness of the environment care among the alumni of the University of Guanajuato, for which they have the total support of the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, affirmed Lic. Mirando Cortés.

He explained that through the Coordination of Quality and Environment he presides, presented before the Campus' Rectory one of the main projects of the area to create the cleaning brigade, and with it, sensitize the students to be aware of the environmental impact and talk about this reflection with their peers.

Even, he added, at the beginning of this month, there was also reforestation work with 50 pieces of oak tree and acacia in the back part of the building, but regarding the access to DCEA, they first seek to mitigate the pollution and then reforest, besides of starting other projects, among them, recycling in offices.

Lic. Mirando Cortés informed that at the moment of cleaning, they also separate aluminum, PET, PEAD, PET lids to contribute in the project of support to children with cancer, and the rest of the residue, go in a single bag.

One of the young students, Isabel Arroyo, commented that the drastic climate change is worrying, therefore, they must act, plant trees instead of complaining about heat, think on the others: children, siblings, friends, "you don't have to do big actions to create big changes", she said, just by dedicating a few minutes a day, you can see the result and, if all did it, everything will change. It is worth mentioning, that in the cleaning works, administrative personnel also participated.
