
Guanajuato, Gto., June 14, 2016.- Within activities of the Seminar "Regarding water" ("Autour de L'eau") made in the Bordeaux University in France, to which several scholars from the University of Guanajuato (UG) attended, the book État de L´art sur l´eau dans la zone métropolitaine de León was presented.
The text was presented by researchers of the Department of Geomatics and Hydraulic Engineering of the Division of Engineering (DI) of Campus Guanajuato of UG.
In the classrooms of the Université Bourdeaux was explained that the book was worked for more than a year and was the result of the research and collaboration of Dr. Yann René Ramos Arroyo, M.C. Julio César Martínez Arredondo and M. Victor Manuel Ortega Chávez.
The text was edited and presented in the collection Cahiers, from the Center of Mexican and Central American Studies (CEMCA). During the seminar done in Bordeaux, France, from June 1st to 7th; there were works sessions focused on the patrimonial management from León as well as Bordeaux, history of both cities, as well as an expo towards water.
In a brief interview, Dr. Ramos Arroyo precise that they are working in other book that will be about drought in León and how it influences in the climate change in the water supply.
As researchers from the University of Guanajuato, also participated in the seminar Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato; Dr. José Luis Lara Valdés, scholar in the Department of History and Dr. César Federico Macías Fernández, Director of the Department of History.
