
Guanajuato, Gto., June 17, 2016. The University of Guanajuato is the venue for the VII Congress of the International Network of the Postgraduate in Law, in which more than 30 specialists from Latin America share reflections and experiences towards the evaluation of the educative programs in the legal area.
During this meeting, which takes place on June 17th and 18th, it will be installed the First International Observatory for the Evaluation of the Postgraduate in Law, since it has been promoted by the President of the International Network of Postgraduate in Law (RIPOD), Dr. Carlos Ramiro Ruiz Moreno.
In the graduation ceremony of the Congress, the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, invited all his colleagues to reflect on the role the graduates have from the postgraduates in Law, specifically in the Latin American context.
In this continent –he expressed—"the large social topics summon the Law to give a linking answer with other disciplines", and added that Latin America is in possibilities of assuming a great academic leadership in the field of Law, but is required to generate more strategic alliances between institutions.
In his intervention, the President of the International Network of Postgraduate in Law, reminded that the Congress this year will be hosted by the University of Guanajuato, had its first edition in 2010, as an initiative of Dr. Jorge Fernández Ruíz, "Life & Honorary President" of RIPOD. Since then, it has developed in countries such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama and Mexico.
This year, as Magister speakers, participate the Coordinator of the Postgraduate in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, Dr. Gonzalo Armienta Hernández, with the topic "Challenges and perspectives of the international evaluation of the postgraduate in law", and the Director of the Direction of the Division of Law, Politics, and Governement (DDPG), Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta Barrera, who will talk about "The teaching of Law at the University of Guanajuato."
In the opening event was also present the Rector from Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, who said that the participation in international networks opens the door to projects with common benefits, new agreements for student's and professors' mobility, allows the academic cooperation and above all the opportunity to share experiences. Therefore, impacts the academic life of the whole University, not only an educative program.
Dr. Teresita de Jesús Rendón Huerta also attended, who celebrated the joint work and the benefits derived from this to all institutions that are part of the RIPOD, among them are, the Universidad de Panamá, the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, Ecuador; the Universidad de Costa Rica and the Universidad de Javeriana, of Colombia. From México, participate the Universidad Veracruzana, the University of Guanajuato, the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México y the Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, among others.
