Salamanca, Gto., June 21, 2016.- After an eliminatory round, six High School students from the University of Guanajuato (UG) were selected to conform the delegation that'll represent the state in the final of the International Olympics of Logic, which will be done in Guadalajara next September.

The delegation is formed by Héctor Eduardo Parga Nájera, Diego César Lerma Torres, David Armando Cortés, Carlos Alfonso Martínez Palacios y Erick Antonio Matamadas Hernández, from High School Guanajuato, and Tulio Muñoz Magaña, from HS Salamanca.

The Mexican Association of Logic has organized the International Olympics or thirteen years. In the first stage –in the state of Guanajuato—six students were selected, all of them from the High School College from the University of Guanajuato.

In the international stage, which will occur on September 24th, they expect the participation of 91 students.

The advisors that have supported this youth to get to this stage are the state deputy, Alejandro Lugo Martínez from HS Salamanca; Luz María Damian Muñiz, Sandra María del Carmen Rangel Vázquez and José de Jesús Lune Vázquez from ENMS Guanajuato.

On the matter, Lic. Luz Maria Damian expressed that this type of activities allows students to discover their potential, so he invited their teaching peers to believe in their students and support them in their development. "I really invite any student to the Olympics who wants to do it, not necessarily those who have good grades, but everyone who wishes to live more than an experience" he expressed.

One of the youth that integrate the delegation, Diego Lerma Torres, explained that in the Olympics the exams are centered in the application of mathematical and argumentative logic, more than theory.

HS Guanajuato's student exposed that participating in the Olympics is an astonishing experience, that makes evident what you learn and how you use it is more important than just pass an exam.
