
Guanajuato, Gto., June 21, 2016.- M. Víctor Guillermo Flores Rodríguez, Academic Secretary of the Division of Engineering (DI), will perform as an international valuator of the topography degree in the Universidad Nacional in San José of Costa Rica. Being invited by the National Council of Accreditations of Higher Education Schools in that country and be recognized before the Council of Accreditation of the Teaching of Engineering (CACEI).
In an interview, he informed that since last year he presented his candidacy to be valuator of CACEI in a national level, given that he already has 28 years working for the University of Guanajuato and has participated in several evaluations in a national level, among them in the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí and the University of Guadalajara, both for the topography degree.
The Accreditation Council selected him as a national valuator and precisely through the CACEI, was invited to participate as an international valuator by the National Council of Accreditation of Higher Education Schools of Costa Rica, which he considers to be an honor and, since then, he accepted to value these degrees in an international level.
This way, on July 25th to 29th he will be at the Universidad Nacional in San José de Costa Rica to evaluate and corroborate that the degree in Topography in that country, has the requirements demanded in an international level to be an accredited degree.
He confirmed, to an specific question, that until now he is the only scholar from UG to be accepted as an international valuator and recognized before CACEI and the Accreditation Council of Higher Education Schools in Latin America, which commits him even more with the University of Guanajuato, who has distinguished for its quality, humanism and values before the community.
The interest is to rise the name of UG, sustained M. Flores Rodríguez, who observed that doors are opening to enter a new exclusive participation of Latin Americans in the processes of accreditation of the Engineering teaching.
M. Flores highlighted that CACEI is so interested in this processes, that for the year 2018 his accreditation will have an international character, therefore, they already prepare, as Division of Engineering, to participate in the international accreditation of the seven major programs and rise the name of UG in other countries.
PROFILE
M. Víctor Guillermo Flores Rodríguez finalized his major as Hydraulic-Topographic Engineer in 1990, he then made a master degree in Educative Research in what used to be IEDUG (now Department of Education in the Division of Social Sciences and Human Studies) and also coursed another master degree in Earth Sciences with the specialization in Geomatics.
Since 1994 he has specialized in Geomatics as is, and currently, he develops his educative labor and as a researcher in earth sciences, which has helped him to have wider criteria for the development of the degrees in the same Division of Engineering.
