
Guanajuato, Gto., June 22, 2016. Within activities of the Report of Corporate Social Responsibility from Ferrero Group, the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, sustained that it is urgent to change the paradigms of the current civilization, and made a call so the education lay the groundwork for a better citizenship and a society provided with ethical principles.
Invited to reveal the vision of the Social Responsibility from the class, Dr. Guerrero Agripino pointed that the social responsibility of the education must translate in knowledge, attitudes and values that permeate in all areas of knowledge, that allow to configure a democratic society, in which the human rights are respected.
He said that the Ferrero Group's philosophy, that relies on the principal "The fabric for the man and not the man for the fabric", has an enormous impact in our society, because it proves that you can reach the commercial success and maintain the respect towards people and environment.
"The prosperity must be based in values and ethic, because one prosperity based in the denial of the like is inexcusable and in the long term, unsustainable" declared UG's General Rector.
The ceremony where the Corporate Social Responsibility Report from the Ferrero Group was presented, was also the framework to reveal that after an exhaustive analysis, the company has decided to install a Research and Development Laboratory in the plant located in San José Iturbide.
Such laboratory, the first that Ferrero will create in Latin America, will be focused in improving raw materials, training for suppliers, and discovering new possible raw materials and products.
In his intervention, the State Governor, Lic. Miguel Márquez Márquez, made reference to Ferrero's business model, which is characterized by the respect to people and the environment. Likewise, thanked for being the first international company that joins the campaign of values from the state's DIF system, led by Maria Eugenia Carreño de Márquez.
In the VI Report of Corporate Social Responsibility from Ferrero Group, the third company in the world to produce candies and chocolates, were present the Ambassador Emeritus Rosario Green, who spoke about the social mission of the company. Also present was the General Director of Ferrero in Mexico, Pietro Paolo Cornero; the Ambassador of Italy in Mexico, Enrico Scimone, and representatives of the company, as well as functionaries from the three levels of the government.
