Guanajuato, Gto., June 22, 2016.- Thanks to the program "Short Stay Summer Program," Francisco Vargas, student of Experimental Biology at the University of Guanajuato (UG), will fulfill one of his biggest dreams, know the oriental culture and perfect his domain of the Japanese language.

The young man from Romita, Japanese student at the Department of Languages of UG, said that knowing and speaking another language means opening doors to travel around the world. The stay he will make in Tokyo represents for him an opportunity to grow professionally and personally.

Francisco Vargas will be from July 5th to August 3rd this year at the Tokyo University, institution which the University of Guanajuato has an academic cooperation agreement. The maintenance and lodging expenses will be covered by UG, explained the student of the degree in Experimental Biology.

He sustained that the knowledge he will acquire in Tokyo could use it in his daily life, since it will begin to prepare to participate in any of the research that the academics from the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences have with Japan.

The young 20-year-old affirmed to be jubilant because one of his dreams is to travel to Japan, know their culture and in a future, in the professional ambiance, work with them as a researcher in the medical area, worthily representing UG and Guanajuato.

It is worth mentioning that his enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge, not only has allowed him to study a degree and a language at the same time, but also be a candidate in his city to receive the Youth Award 2016.

Such award is given to outstanding youths who are considered an example to create and develop personal overcoming or progress motives to the community.

Francisco Vargas is a young enthusiast that plans not to live only for his professional and personal growth, but to address social problems, and invites his peers to take advantage of the opportunities the University of Guanajuato offers, in all his academic and research areas, since he assures that with work and dedication, anything can be done.
