León, Gto., June 25, 2016.- With the purpose to make an analysis of the different concepts that must be considered to understand Regional Development, at Campus Leon from the University of Guanajuato (UG) was taught the conference titled: "The sociological perspective of the regional development in the globalization, experiences and challenges" led by the outstanding sociologist Ludger Pries.

Dr. Ludger Pries belongs to the Universität Bochum and the Cátedra Humboldt from the Colegio de México, dictated the conference for the university and student community from the Division of Social Sciences and Human studies, where he explained the dominant factors of the Regional Development from a holistic focus.

Likewise, he outstood the central aspects that impact in the competiveness and the regional dynamic of the companies.

He also made a comparative analysis between important cities of Germany with the city of León and the different public policies made by the local, state and federal governments to benefit the regional development.

Finally, he commented that the benefits are the result of actions aimed for people who lead companies with a vision not only economic and productive, but with outreach to society, to improve the population's quality of life, such as the creation of parks, bicycle tracks, improvement in the environment, access to education, creation of spaces for science and culture.
