
Guanajuato, Gto., June 30, 2016.- Thanks to the financial support from General Rectory, this Thursday, the Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Javier Corona Fernández delivered first aid equipment to administrative representatives of the six divisions which are part of Campus Guanajuato, with the finality to be prepared for emergencies.
Dr. Corona Fernández reminded that in the different venues of the six division of Campus Guanajuato, ceremonies and reunions are constantly organized from people outside of UG, where eventually they could need these materials and, even if it is desired to not be required, there must be brigades ready for each instance.
Therefore, there have been courses of basic first aid and these trainings will continue, even in coordination with the city hall of the capital, given that the topic of safety has been constant and dialogues have been established initially by the General Rector to have the collaboration with police authorities in the different cities where the University of Guanajuato is present.
The delivered material, precise Dr. Corona Fernández, comes from a support fund sent by General Rectory to Campus Guanajuato for safety aspects, theme that will continue with more incidence in some Divisions, particularly where there are laboratories.
He revealed that they are working to retake programs such as "safe home", even more because they work with the federal program from IMSS, students must register their home address.
On his part, M.A. Raúl Morales Aguilar, Coordinator of the Safety Unit of Campus Guanajuato, highlighted that they have begun action in pro of safety by creating liaison with the authorities in the three levels of government and, in this case, there are good relationships with the city of Guanajuato, so it is foreseen, that in the next vacation, there will be vigilance in the venues. In the ceremony were present Lic. Gabriela Renata Alarcón Bárcenas, General Coordinator of Administrative Support.
EQUIPMENT DELIVERED
They delivered a backboard, collar, fastener or "spider", immobilizers and first aid kits for basic trauma that contains among other things, alcohol, adhesive tape, latex gloves and bandages.
The benefited venues were: from the Division of Social Science and Human Studies, venues Calzada, Yerbabuena and Valenciana; from the Division of Natural Sciences, venues, Noria Alta, Publito de Rocah and Valenciana; in the case of the Division of Architecture, Art and Design; the benefited venues were Los Santos, Marfil and La Presa.
From the Division of Engineering were benefited the venue Perlita, San Matías and Belén; from the Division of Economic-Administrative Sciences, venue Marfil; the Division of Law, Politics and Government the venue Lascuraín de Retana and the Rectory of Campus for the sports field "Nieto Piña."
