Celaya, Gto., June 30, 2016.- With the finality to reduce the desertion index among students of Campus Celaya-Salvatierra, the Coordination of Educative Psychology, which belongs to the area of Encouragement of the Student's Comprehensive Development (CIDIE for its acronym in Spanish), throughout the semester attended 112 students that required advise.

Fátima Moreno, Area Coordinator, commented that during the semester which concluded, the workshops with the student community intensified and with them, the direct advisory; so, from the seven students who were planning on abandon their studies, four decided to remain, one requested change of degrees and only two deserted.

The Coordination of Educative Psychology offers workshops in diverse topics, such as study techniques, preparation for exams, expositions, creativity, significant learning, multiple intelligence, mathematical thinking, professional orientation and life projects. All focused to the student community on campus, with the intention to support them through the university trajectory.

She mentioned that "the students that approach, many times state that they don't have enough time for their activities, but once they take the workshop with the educative advisors, they can plan better their time and organize their work, and generally, conclude their semester satisfactorily and even conclude their degree."

She explained that they offer individual advisory and group workshops, one of the most successful is the one called "Life project", in which is proposed to know the importance of their degree and the areas where she or he can perform, visualizing a job field, the student can confirm the call or re-plan to what area she or he would like to focus on, which contributes to reducing the desertion index on campus, concluded Fátima Moreno.
