León, Guanajuato July 1, 2016.- The Division of Health Sciences of the University of Guanajuato (UG) Campus León, consolidates as a vanguard institution. For such reason, there was a closing ceremony of the tenth edition of the Diploma of Therapeutic Education in Diabetes.

A total of 22 students were present, who developed projects to have a positive impact in society. In this tenth edition, 130 people were benefited with the educative intervention projects applied to rural communities and covered approximately the 80% of the entity.

Dr. Daniel Pérez Cervantes, who is responsible of the Red Médica, attended representing the General Rector, Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino. In his participation, he gave a message citing all the current health problems, as well as the desolating panorama expected in the future.

In such message, he located as possible problems overweight and obesity, at the same time, he mentioned that the only tool there if to fight it, is to have professionals with an excellent preparation.

On his part, the Rector of Campus León, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, asserted that the great problems of Mexico are fought with education and even if it is a slow road, it is the most efficient.

Also present were the Director of the Division of Health Sciences, Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos, responsible of the Diploma, Dr. Sergio Márquez Gamiño and the President of the Mexican Association of Diabetes in Guanajuato, Dr. Fernando Mendoza Morfin.
