Guanajuato, Gto., July 7, 2016.- With the commitment to actively participate in the evaluation of the work done by public dependencies, three members of the University of Guanajuato integrated to the commissions of the Council of Social Comptrollership of the state of Guanajuato.

The social comptrollership has the objective to systematically monitor the governmental doing, and so, strengthen the citizen capacity to responsibly influence in the definition of public politics.

One of the organ that make this work possible is the Council of Social Comptrollership of the State of Guanajuato, who among their members is the General Rector of the University of Guanajuato (UG), Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, M.A. Rosa Maria Pérez Vargas, and M. Emeterio Guevara Vargas.

The council, organ that depends from the Secretary of Transparency and Rendition of Accounts, is organized in five commissions –one for each axis of the government—each one has representatives from the business, social, academic and governmental sectors.

Representing UG's General Rector, the General Comptroller of the institution, M.A. Adriana de Santiago Álvarez, integrated to the workgroup "Guanajuato Seguro", while as President of the Commission "Economy for people", was assigned M.A. Emeterio Guevara, who also will collaborate in "Good Government."

The commission that will occupy the axis "Educated Guanajuato" will be presided by M.A. Rosa María Pérez Vargas, UG scholar who will also collaborate in the topic "Quality of life."

In this way, the University of Guanajuato will have an active participation in the totality of the workgroups from the Council of Social Comptrollership of the State of Guanajuato, which proves the commitment the house of studies has in the analysis and development of proposals that give answer to the problems of their environment.

During the first Ordinary Session of the Council, M.A. Rosa María Pérez Vargas presented the results from the work done during the period 2013-2016. Then, the Sub-secretary of Administration and Investment of the Secretary of Human and Social Development, MVZ. José Gerardo Morales Moncada, presented the strategy of the new social politic of the state presidency.

After defining the integration of the work commissions, the counsellors agreed on the next meeting dates to fulfill the annual work plan.
