León, Gto., July 8, 2016.- Campus León from the University of Guanajuato received the Ford Driving Skills for Live México, as an answer to their interest in approaching students to events focused in creating awareness on automobile accidents and road responsibility.

Since March, Campus León was part of the program Ford Driving Skills for Life México, where the students attended the conference "Safe driving and prevention of automobile accidents", afterwards 100 students were summoned to practical tests with professional pilots lent by the same company.

The participation of the members of the university community has been fundamental for this achievement, because with their intervention they pretend to achieve a better society for the youth. Campus León was one of the 12 universities to whom they granted such distinction.

The award ceremony was made in Mexico City at the Mexican Association of Ford Distributors, to which in representation of the Rector of Campus León, attended Lic. Cecilia Álvarez Solórzano, Coordinator of Encouragement to the Comprehensive Development of the Student (CIDIE). The distinction was handed by the engineer Gabriel López, General Director and President of Ford Motor Company de México.

To the ceremony attended 40 participants of five cities of the Mexican Republic, such as Guadalajara, Querétaro, León, Puebla and Mexico City.

This program was created by Ford in 2003 and currently is held in 29 countries. It reached Mexico in 2015 and this year, Mexico has become the #1 country, for the active participation of the university community.
