Guanajuato, Gto., July 8, 2016.- The director of the theater group "Batracio" of the Direction of Cultural Extension of the University of Guanajuato, Juan José Prado Miramontes, presented three books that address three of the most relevant genre of literature: story, poetry and dramaturgy.

The event was held at the Mesón de San Antonio, place where he received the interested readers in the proposals of Professor Prado Miramontes. The editorial publications that he presented were ""Las mejores obras de teatro del Conde de San Sebastián", "Los mejores cuentos del Conde de San Sebastián" & "Las mejores poesías humorísticas del Conde de San Sebastián".

As the title of the mentioned books indicate, the writing of Juan José Prado Miramontes, is filled with a great sense of humor, since it spoofs every day situation turning them into anecdotes to remember.

The publications are edited by the Academy of Modern Literature in Guanajuato, instance created with main purpose to divulge the work of writers, journalists, researchers and historians of the city.

The theater professor, José Prado, highlighted that his creativity as a writer has stimulated thanks to his 32-year career as a teacher at the University of Guanajuato, time where he has worked with many generations of actors.

He also indicated that his literary works have been presented before and have been greatly accepted by the readers.

It is worth mentioning that Juan José Pardo Miramontes began his theater activity in the Entremeses Cervantinos under the direction of M.A. Enrique Ruelas, from 1965 to 1993.

In addition, he has theater, acting, direction and voice courses. He started with Pantomime in the group "Los juglares de Guanajuato" since 1975. It was in 1982 when he entered the University of Guanajuato as a theater professor of the college group "Batracio" with which he has had more than 200 montages, from diverse authors.

Equally, he is founder of the group "Laboratory of Pantomime" of the University of Guanajuato, specializing in "Theater Pantomime", has participated in important theatrical events such as the "ISFIT 97" (International Student Festival in Tronheim) in Norway, where he performed in pantomime and gave workshops. In 1999 he won the first place in the 1st State Biennial of Theater with the play "El diablo en el jardín" of Alejandro Licona with "Batracio".

At the presentation were present, the director of Cultural Extension of the University of Guanajuato, Dr. Sara Julsrud; Chemical Engineer, Juan José Guzmán, Mrs. Olga Damián Torres; CPA Francisco Caballero Vertíz; and the President of the Academy of Modern Literature in Guanajuato, M.A. Elena Ortiz.
