Guanajuato, Gto. July 12, 2016.- The Oral Litigation Team of the University of Guanajuato obtained, for the second year in a row, the cup "Champion of Champions 2016", being the national best in the litigation competence.

The students from the Division of Law, Politics and Government that won in this competence are: Dulce María Dávila Álvarez, Gloria Guadalupe García Sandate, José Rafael Arellano Munítiz and Gustavo Rodríguez Venegas, who were advised by Prof. Juan Carlos Páramo Vázquez.

This competence was held in the American University College of Law in Washington City, with a case of kidnapping crime and gun bearing, in a two-hour hearing, being the defendants and facing their counterparts from the Jurist College from the state of Morelos.

For this competence they had to participate in the Second National Contests of Oral Trial and Preliminary Hearings which divides in four regions; the team participated in the Guanajuato Region, where they obtained the first national place and their pass to the competence "Champion of the Champions 2016".

M.A. Juan Carlos Páramo said in an interview, that this achievement is the reflection of university support, as well as the academic and personal effort of each member of the Litigation team, for conquering this competence and at the same time their studies in the degree, which requires a great job.

He thanked for the opportunity to lead the team, which assured has always worked with the same intention, goals and enthusiasm, which will be strengthen for the following competence that will be done in October to defend the title of the first place in the National University Contest of Penal Litigation in Argentina and obtain the tri-championship.
