
Guanajuato, Gto., July 18, 2016.- The major in Education from the University of Guanajuato (UG) offers the option to make stay periods of community work, which provide the opportunity to do, create and innovate with educative activities that benefit society.
Olivia Elizabeth Quezada González, student at the fourth semesters of this major, participates in diverse projects in the stay periods, where she will attend 15 days to an institution to work and propose socially responsible projects.
Elizabeth mentions that the University has allowed her to transform the environment, because through diverse actions has managed to reach different communities, which detonate the comprehensive development of the people who compose it.
As part of these works, Olivia Elizabeth has collaborated with the National Council of Educational Encouragement (CONAFE), in faraway communities to which she has taken cultural caravans consisting in workshops of artistic expression such as drawing, reading encouragement, handcrafts and singing for kindergarten and elementary children.
Currently she works with children in promoting culture in diverse spaces, an activity consisting in taking children to visit museums in the city of Guanajuato.
Elizabeth indicates that the social function of the University relies in forming people who seek to transform the environment, and whose actions have a great impact in society.
