León, Guanajuato July 27, 2016. - The University of Guanajuato participates in the State Group for the Programming of Human Resources in Health (GEPRHOS for its acronym in Spanish), with the representation of Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus León.

This group has the finality to advise the State's Executive and the dependencies and institutions of Education and Health, for the planning, formation, programming, development, distribution and use of Human Capital for Health in Guanajuato.

During the reunions they analyze the main functions of the institutions that offer educative programs in health, which must privilege the formation of quality graduates.

Dr. Hidalgo Valadez commented in an interview "youth should be forming in serious institutions, certified, engaged in a social environment", he pointed out that institutions have emerged without the Official Validity Registry (REVOE) and only one or two programs have been approved in the state during the last semester of the year.

Among the main agreements they reach, stands out the possibility to integrate in the group the representation of the Secretary of Public Education (SEP) and the presentation of modifications to the interior guidelines of GEPRHOS, which will continue to world in the next scheduled meeting in August.

The last session of this group was held in the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, venue San Carlos of Campus León, to which attended Dr. Efraín Navarro Olivos, Director of the Area of Teaching and Research from the Secretary of Health; Dr. Beatriz Marlene Alba Pimentel, representing the State delegate from IMSS, M.A. Sergio Santibañez; Dr. Jacinto Medina Rosales, Chief of Teaching of the Institute of Safety and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE); as well as Dr. Patricia de la Luz Fuentes, Chief of Department of Teaching and Training from the Institute of Public Health from the State of Guanajuato (ISAPEG).

Also present were representatives from the State DIF, Military Hospital, members of the State Committees for Planning and Programming of high education, the representative of the State Commission for the Planning of Higher Education A.C. (COEPES) and the General Direction of Planning, Design and Evaluation of High and Higher Education.
