León, Gto., July 29, 2016.- With the objective to support women with breast cancer, there was an event called "Tías Pelucas" (Aunts Wigs) which was held in the theater "Ignacio García Téllez" from the "Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social" (IMSS), summoned by students from UG's Nursing and Midwifery degree in León, along with IMSS and Teletón.

The event had more than 200 hair-donors, and there was a special moment when Maria Guadalupe Gutiérrez Sandoval, who months ago was diagnosed with this illness, offered her testimony on how difficult was to receive the diagnosis and the way she has battled this disease.

On her part, Lic. Laura Lozano Fuentes; Coordinator of Liaison from Campus León, attended representing Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus León and gave a few words to the young students at UG in collaboration with IMSS, who asked women to continue exploring themselves, with the finality to avoid breast cancer.

Who also gave his thanks to whom made this possible was M.A. Sergio Andrés Santibáñez, State Deputy of IMSS, during his intervention highlighted that the students of Nursing and Midwifery from León have a great sense of social responsibility, kindness and love for these program.

H remarked that the most important is to continue supporting the family members who suffer this disease. Equally he committed to intensify the work to prevent cancer, which will result in saving more lives day after day.
