
Guanajuato, Gto. July 30, 2016.- From July 18 to 23 it was held the tenth International Leibniz Congress in the City of Hannover, Germany, in which university scholars participated, among them, M.A. Armando Quezada and M.A. Maria Edith Velázquez Hernández; the latter presented the book "Naturaleza y Libertad en el pensamiento de Leibniz y Kant".
The text, which was coordinated by Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato and the very own M.A. Velázquez Hernández, explores the links, continuities and discontinuities of the two greatest modern authors from actual and thorough perspectives, contributing to the sum of interpretation that were present in the Congress, a purposeful approximation, updated and plainly philosophical.
Like so, the ostentatious enclosures from Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH), castles from renowned dynasties, received more than 300 professors, researchers and students from the world. Among them was also the professor Robert Rodríguez Aramayo, translator of Kant of the "Critic of the Practical Reason" and expert of the play of the German philosopher.
This time, the organization of the event was in charge of Dr. Wenchao Li, scholar at LUH in association with the leibnitian societies of North America, Japan, Israel, Spanish Leibniz Society, the Sodalitas Leibnitiana, the Société d'études leibniziennes de langue francaise, the Ibero-American Leibniz Network, the Centre d'études Leibniziennesm, the Societatea Leibniz din Románia and Sino-German Leibniz Research Centre.
During the event, there were diverse academic and cultural activities, where they could find magister conferences, presentations and editorial expositions and more than 300 talks that cover continuity, actuality, genesis and application of a variety of sciences and interdisciplinary research from the multifaceted play of the philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.
In the confluence of interests, interpretations and traditions towards the philosophy of this pillar thinker of modernity, made the presence of Spanish research present, greatly represented by the Spanish Leibniz Society and the Leibniz Ibero-American Network to which the professors of the Department of Philosophy of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities (DCSH) of Campus Guanajuato belong to. M.A. Armando Quezada Medina and M.A. Edith Velázquez Hernández, who were part of the speaker party during the congress.
Besides, during the exhibition of the most recent texts from this thinker, the editorial from the University of Guanajuato shared the stage with the editorials Walter de Gruyter, Comares, Plaza and Valdés, George Olms and the Akademia Verlag with the presence of the book "Nature and Freedom on Leibniz and Kant thinking", which generated a lot of interest among the attendees.
