Guanajuato, Gto., a 30 de julio de 2016.- How to sustain a responsible hydric culture in the Guanajuatense federal entity, privileged territory as hydric resource matters? Parting from this questioning, professor-researchers from the University of Guanajuato (UG), in a transversal action and interdisciplinary, have developed projects with regional impact on water culture in the Engineering areas, but also the social science and humanities.
One of the liaison efforts for the development and research in matter of water is being made by UG in collaboration with the Center of Mexican and Central American Studies, which works in Mexico under the auspice of the French Ministry of External Affairs that has summed groups of academics from the Bordeaux region, in France, with which has established a friendly dialogue through the Seminar "A matter of water. International and interdisciplinary reflections Mexico-France", whose two first editions have already completed, one in Guanajuato on May 2015, the second in Bordeaux on June 2016, and now, the third encounter is being prepared, which will be held again at UG on the next month of September.
This third seminar will have the participation of the academic team from the University of Bordeaux and a group of researchers from UG, formed by Ph.D. Javier Corona Fernández, Ph.D. José Luis Lara Valdés, Dr. César Federico Macías Cervantes, professors from the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, and M.A. Julio César Martínez Arredondo and Ph.D. Yann René Ramos Arroyo, from the Division of Engineering of Campus Guanajuato.
In this edition, the seminar will establish the state of other new geo-hydrographic demarcations (besides the cities of León and Bordeaux, already studied), the theoretical framework of the natural heritage and the right for the hydric cultural heritage; in addition of studying the history and governing aspects towards water.
The third seminar will seek to strengthen the international relationships at UG, particularly with the University of Bordeaux, for student mobility and professor-researchers, as well as the liaison of the university with institutions from the state of Guanajuato that design and apply policies of water care in the region.
