Guanajuato, Gto., July 29. 2016.- "Revoltoso" is the name of the short film that is part of the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) and will be presented on July 30th at 12:00hr at the Auditorium Euquerio Guerrero, enclosure of the Cinema Club of the University of Guanajuato.

This short film is directed by the brothers Arturo and Roy Ambriz, young and talented filmmakers specialized in animation. Besides directing the short, they also worked as scriptwriters and developed the editing.

This time, the cinema lovers of Guanajuato can appreciate "Revoltoso", a shortfil done in stop motion and tells the story of a one-eyed wild hog who lives in Don Gonzalo's hacienda.

The story develops in the Mexican Revolution in 1913, hence, Don Gonzalo is an avid follower of the recently exiled president, Porfirio Díaz, and it is so, that he uses the force of his wild hogs to do his will. In the plot, there is also a photographer which is hired to film and document their regime.

The catharsis unveils when the revolutionaries attack the hacienda to recover the land of the workers and amidst the battle, the small wild hog is found with the camera and has to decide what to do with it.

In an interview, the directors indicated that "Revoltoso" was made to highlight the innocence in a world filled with violence. In his cinematographic labor stands out that they used 100 puppets and 25 different stages to make the short and it was made 100% with the stop motion technique.

The filmmakers expressed being satisfied with their work, same that has the backup of one of the directors with more prestige, Guillermo del Toro, who is a benefactor and godfather of all the making process of "Revoltoso".

Saturday July 30th, is the premiere in Mexico and it will be held in the University of Guanajuato; both Arturo and Roy Ambriz, they expect the reception of the spectators to be positive and the movie works as a sort of dialogue and reflection, since "Revoltoso" has a social and political connotation.
