León, Gto., August 2, 2016.- 451 students came into Campus Leon from the Division of Health Sciences. In a protocol event held in the multisport San Carlos, Dr. Carlos Hidalgo Valadez, Rector of Campus, welcomed the students.

The educational program of Medical Surgeon received 92 students, 80 students went to Nursery and Midwifery in Guanajuato, 106 for Nursery and Midwifery in León, 47 for Nutrition, 46 for Science of Physical Activity and Health, 40 for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and 40 for Psychology.

In his intervention, Dr. Hidalgo Valadez commented: "Today you are bees and we hope that inspires you, the University of Guanajuato is an inspiring institution, hence, you must begin with a lot of energy in this that you are taking on."

Like so, he narrated the history of the symbols in the University's coat of arms and the meaning it has for the university community, the remarked the 280 years of history of the house of studies. He reiterated to the youth that Campus León is their home, where they can feel loved and live the university values such as truth, freedom, respect, responsibility and justice.

On his part, Dr. Tonatiuh García Campos, Director of the Division of Health Sciences, precise that it has the 70% of the student enrollment and that are engaged with the formation of the best human resources in health in a national and international level.

At the presidium were present: Dr. Luxana Reynaga Ornelas, Academic Secretary of Campus León, M.A. Cipriana Caudillo Cisneros, Academic Secretary of the Division of Health Sciences; and M.A. María del Pilar Fernández Carrasco, Coordinator of Teaching at the Division. In addition of the Directors of Department and Coordinator of the educational programs that enter this semester.
