Guanajuato, Gto., August 2, 2016.- Thanks to the efforts of the University of Guanajuato to establish liaisons with other educational institutions of Mexico and the world, this day, Campus Guanajuato welcomes 185 students from diverse states of Mexico and 18 countries (among them, Germany, United States, France and Kazakhstan), who will live for one or two semesters the experience of being part of this University.

The welcome program for the exchange students included the official photo with authorities from Campus Guanajuato, as well as an information session on enrollment procedures and diverse services the Campus offers in matter of health, psychological attention, sports, learning and self-learning of languages, artistic groups and cultural, as well as information about safety and life in the city of Guanajuato.

Representing Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, Dr. Luis Fernando Anaya Velázquez, scholar from the Division of Natural and Exact Sciences, was responsible to give the welcome message, in which he manifested how gratifying it is for Campus Guanajuato to receive every semester new students from other universities, and the own students of Campus Guanajuato go out and make their studies to other countries and states, which allows them to broaden their academic and personal horizons.

The 185 students that reached Campus Guanajuato through the Program of Interinstitutional Academic Mobility will be part of the six division that compose the campus: Economic-Administrative Sciences received 56 students; Social Science and Humanities, 52; Architecture, Art & Design, 40; Engineering, 17; Law, Politics and Government, 15; Natural and Exact Sciences, 5.

Besides the received induction, the youth enjoyed a meal with traditional Mexican dishes, enlivened by the Estudiantina of Campus Guanajuato, and a tour around the city, organized by host students of the University of Guanajuato.
