Guanajuato, Gto., August 4, 2016.- With the finality to provide for the new 180 students of the six degrees from the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities (DCSH) from Campus Guanajuato the most relevant facts about institutional life, administrative procedures and services for students, university authorities welcomed and presided the induction course 2016.

Dr. Javier Corona Fernández, Rector of Campus Guanajuato, and the Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Aureliano Ortega Esquivel, presided the session for the new students: Philosophy, 19; Spanish Letters, 50; History, 25; Education, 44; Spanish as a Second Language, 17; and English teaching, 25.

At the induction session, they topics such as the University Procurator of the Academic Rights (PRUNIDA), administrative procedures, Encouragement to the Comprehensive Development of the Student (with services of Sports, Mental Health, Nutrition, Nursing, and Entrepreneurism), Tutoring, Social Service, Scholarships, Languages, Self-Learning Language Center (CAADI), Library System, student projects, and they even made the physical evaluation of the students.

It was Dr. Corona Fernández's time to welcome the 180 young students that integrate into the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities (DCSH) of Campus Guanajuato, "an important enrollment, that shows the vigor of the humanistic areas in the XXI century university", he said, at the same time he recognized the coordinator from the different degrees, professors and personnel who prepared this "Induction week 2016."

He reminded that the comprehensive development of the students has been one of the main objectives of the University of Guanajuato in the las years, hence the importance that besides their academic load, the young students can access a wide variety of artistic and cultural workshops, to a health program, sport and recreational activities, to form quality professionals, but above all, comprehensive people.

He also invited them to know the recently presented service platform and documents for the students and finally, the young students took a group photo with the university authorities.

At the ceremony were also present, Dr. Carlos Armando Preciado de Alba, Academic Secretary from DCSH and the Coordinators of the degrees in Philosophy, Spanish Letters, History, Education, English teaching, and Spanish as Second Language.
